Do I need planning permission to install Solar Panels?
The answer is it depends.
Solar panels are usually allowed without planning permission, as long as they are not higher than the property, not visually intrusive, and not sticking out more than 200mm from the roof. However, some properties, such as Grade II Listed buildings or if your home is in a conservation area, you may need planning permission for solar panels. You can contact us and speak to a NXTGEN Energy solar energy expert for advice if you are unsure.Â

Matt Alexander’s Solar Energy Success Story
A 5-Star Review of NXTGEN Energy’s Products & Services
The work’s been done to an incredibly high standard. The cabling is really neat, the system is performing fantastically well, and we can’t believe how much money we’ve saved already. So, generally a big thank you to Stuart, Kelly and everyone at the NXTGEN team, who have done a really, really good job from start to finish.
We really couldn’t be more pleased.
