Matt Alexander’s Solar Energy Success Story

A 5-Star Review of NXTGEN Energy’s Products & Services

The work’s been done to an incredibly high standard. The cabling is really neat, the system is performing fantastically well, and we can’t believe how much money we’ve saved already. So, generally a big thank you to Stuart, Kelly and everyone at the NXTGEN team, who have done a really, really good job from start to finish.

We really couldn’t be more pleased.

Solar Panels and Solar PV (Photovoltaics)

Solar panels are devices that can produce electricity from sunlight. They are composed of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which are made of materials that can convert light into electric current. This process is called the photovoltaic effect. By installing solar panels on your home, business or community, you can generate your own renewable energy and reduce your reliance on fossil fuels.

This can help you lower your greenhouse gas emissions and save money on your electricity bills. Solar panels have become more efficient and affordable over the years, thanks to technological innovations and government incentives. NXTGEN Energy can help you find the best solar panel system for your needs and budget.

As one of the best solar energy companies in the UK we lead by example. We are driven not only by our commitment to solar power for the future, but also to provide transparency. Making our customers our top priority. As MCS Certified Solar Panel Installers and MCS Certified Battery Storage Installers we provide full customer protection through the HIES, MCS & Napit schemes. You can find all our certificates online.

Our Solar Services

Solar Panels

Solar Panels or Solar PV (Photovoltaics), capture the sun’s solar energy and converts it into energy for your home. At NXTGEN Energy we primarily use high-end panels from Hyundai, Ja Solar or Trina, depending on which is the most appropriate for your solar energy system setup. Solar Panels are most efficient when used in conjunction with solar battery storage. We are MCS Certified Solar PV Installers. Have you checked your installer on https://mcscertified.com?

Solar Battery Storage

Using solar batteries to store the electricity you’ve generated will help you to maximize the amount of renewable energy you use. At times when you’re generating more energy than you’re using, the excess can be stored so you don’t lose it. Excess energy can potentially be sold back to the grid or kept for times when you need more energy than you are generating. We are now MCS Certified Battery Storage Installers. Have you checked your installer on https://mcscertified.com?

Electric Vehicle Chargers

By providing another way for you to reduce your carbon footprint, Electric Vehicles (EVs) are more popular than ever. EVs are an eco-friendlier alternative to traditional gas guzzlers and with the price of petrol and diesel rising at a unprecedented rate they’re more economical too. Installing a home charger for your EV ensures you can charge your car whenever it’s idle at home, for most motorists, this means waking up to a charged battery every morning, no more hanging around a petrol station at a public EV charging point.

What is the difference between Mono and Poly Solar Panels?

Monocrystalline Solar Panels

Monocrystalline solar panels are made of single-crystal silicon, which has a uniform and smooth surface. This allows the electrons to move more freely and generate more electricity. Monocrystalline solar panels have a higher efficiency and power output than polycrystalline panels, but they are also more expensive to install, but are better in the longterm due to their higher efficiency. They have a dark or black colour and a sleek look.

Polycrystalline Solar Panels

Polycrystalline solar panels are made of multiple fragments of silicon crystal, which have been melted and moulded together to form wafers. This creates boundaries and imperfections that reduce the electron movement and electricity generation. Polycrystalline solar panels have a lower efficiency and power output than mono panels, but they are also cheaper. They have a blue or speckled colour and a less uniform look.

Solar Panels FAQs

Looking for more information on Solar Panels – here are some of the common questions we’re frequently asked.

If you still have questions, feel free to reach out to us on 01268 928 690, via our Contact Page, or via email at info@nxtgen.ltd and ask, we are here to help.

What is the best roof direction for Solar Panels?
South-facing roofs are ideal, as they get the most sunlight and the highest sun intensity. East or west-facing roofs are also good, as they get enough sunlight in the morning or afternoon, with only a small loss of generation. North-facing roofs are not recommended, as they get very little sunlight. Flat roofs can use mounts to tilt the solar panels at the best angle. You can contact us for a remote survey of your roof suitability.
Is my home suitable for Solar Panels?
Solar panels can help you generate your own renewable energy, but they are not suitable for every property. You need to consider your electricity consumption, your roof characteristics, the shading level and the radiance level of your location. If you want to know if your property can benefit from solar panels, contact us for a solar assessment.
Do I need planning permission to install Solar Panels?
Solar panels are usually allowed without planning permission, as long as they are not higher than the property, not visually intrusive, and not sticking out more than 200mm from the roof. However, some properties, such as listed buildings or conservation areas, may need planning permission for solar panels. You can contact a NXTGEN Energy solar expert for advice if you are unsure.
What is the difference between Mono and Poly Solar Panels?
Mono-crystalline and polycrystalline are two types of solar panels that differ in their efficiency, cost and appearance. Mono-crystalline panels are made of single-crystal silicon, which produces more electricity, but costs more. They have a dark or black colour. Polycrystalline panels are made of multiple fragments of silicon crystal, which produces less electricity, but costs less. They have a blue or speckled colour.

Why not add a Solar Battery to your Solar Panels

You can save more money when you use a Solar Battery with your Solar Panels System

Our Solar PV Packages provide you with a complete solar energy solution for producing and storing your own clean and renewable energy. With Solar Panels and Solar Batteries, you can capture sunlight and convert it into electricity, and then save the excess electricity in a battery for later use. This way, you can use more of your own green energy and less of the National Grid electricity, which can help you reduce your carbon footprint and more importantly reduce your electricity bills.

Solar Panels are devices that capture the sunlight and convert it into electricity. They are made of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which are materials that can create electric current from light. Solar Panels can be installed on your roof or on the ground, depending on the space and orientation available. Solar Panels can reduce your carbon footprint and your electricity bills by producing your own renewable energy.

Solar Batteries are devices that store the excess or unused electricity produced by your solar panels. They can be connected to your solar panel system or to the grid, depending on the type of battery and inverter you have. Solar Batteries can help you use more of your own solar energy and less of the grid electricity, especially during the night or on cloudy days. Solar Batteries can also help you earn money by selling your surplus solar energy back to the grid through the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) scheme.

Our Solar PV Packages offer you a complete solution for producing and storing your own solar energy. We have different packages to suit your needs and budget.

If you want to know more about our Solar PV Packages, you can contact us today and get a free quote. We have solar energy experts to help you transition to solar with ease, and we can also provide remote surveys of your roof suitability. We are MCS Certified Battery Storage Installers.
